Bushfield Bowls Club has decided to launch the new season with a ‘spot the player’ competition. The photograph shows the club opening in May 1982, with our founding members ready for bowls. Do you recognise anyone? Can you ‘spot the player’? Can you find a relative or old colleague in the photo?
We offer discounted club membership for positive identifications and a prize for the best information. If you know anyone in the photograph, please contact Bernard Barker (01733 236241).
Club President Bernard Dawes says: ‘This is a great photo because it shows the start of bowls at Bushfield and the generation of players that created the friendly and successful club we enjoy today. We are keen to remember them and celebrate their achievements. Please get in touch if you can help.’
The new season begins soon. Our Open Meeting at Orton Waterville Village Hall on Saturday 23rd April, 14.00 to 16.00 is for everyone, regardless of ability and experience. Come and meet new and old friends over a cup of tea. The first day of play is on Sunday 1st May 2016, commencing at 13.45.
